At Studio 07t Photography, we are committed to ensuring your complete satisfaction with our services. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds and cancellations of our photography services and products.
Important Note: Please read this policy carefully before booking our services. By making a booking with Studio 07t, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Refund Policy.
1. Deposits and Booking Fees
1.1. Non-Refundable Deposits
To secure a photography session or event date, we require a deposit (typically 25-50% of the total service fee). This deposit is non-refundable as it reserves your date and prevents us from booking other clients for that time. The deposit will be applied toward your final balance.
1.2. Transferable Deposits
While deposits are non-refundable, they may be transferable to a different date under certain circumstances:
- If you need to reschedule more than 60 days before your scheduled session, your deposit can be transferred to a new date within 6 months of the original date, subject to availability.
- Rescheduling with less than 60 days' notice may incur additional fees as outlined in our Terms and Conditions.
2. Cancellation and Refunds for Photography Services
2.1. Client Cancellation
If you need to cancel your booking, the following refund policy applies:
- Cancellation more than 60 days before the session: Deposit is non-refundable, but any additional payments made beyond the deposit will be refunded.
- Cancellation 30-60 days before the session: 50% of the total fee is non-refundable. Any payments made beyond this amount will be refunded.
- Cancellation less than 30 days before the session: No refund will be provided. The full fee is payable.
2.2. Cancellation by Photographer
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your session due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond our control:
- We will make every effort to reschedule your session at a mutually convenient time.
- If rescheduling is not possible, or if you prefer not to reschedule, a full refund of all payments made (including the deposit) will be issued.
- For wedding photography, we will make every effort to provide a substitute photographer of similar style and expertise if we are unable to photograph your wedding.
2.3. Cancellation Due to Weather Conditions
For outdoor sessions affected by adverse weather conditions:
- The session may be rescheduled at no additional fee, subject to availability.
- The decision to reschedule due to weather will be made by the photographer based on safety concerns, lighting conditions, and the feasibility of creating quality images.
- No refunds will be provided for weather-related rescheduling.
3. Refunds for Photography Products
3.1. Digital Products
Due to the nature of digital products:
- No refunds are provided for digital images once they have been delivered.
- If there are technical issues with the files (corruption, inability to open), we will provide replacement files at no additional cost.
3.2. Physical Products
For printed products (prints, albums, canvases, etc.):
- Manufacturing Defects: If your product arrives with manufacturing defects, please notify us within 7 days of receipt. We will replace the defective product at no additional cost.
- Damage During Shipping: If your product is damaged during shipping, please notify us within 7 days of receipt with photos of the damaged item and packaging. We will arrange for replacement.
- Client Error: If errors in the final product are due to client-approved proofs (e.g., you approved a design with a spelling error), replacement will be at the client's expense.
- Design Dissatisfaction: We work closely with clients during the design process to ensure satisfaction. Once a design has been approved, changes may incur additional fees.
3.3. Custom Orders
For custom-designed products:
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin work on custom orders.
- Once production has begun on custom orders, no refund will be provided for cancellation.
4. Gift Certificates and Prepaid Sessions
4.1. Refund Policy for Gift Certificates
- Gift certificates are non-refundable but are transferable to another person.
- Gift certificates are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise specified.
- Expired gift certificates may be honored at our discretion, potentially with an additional reactivation fee.
4.2. Prepaid Session Packages
- Multi-session packages paid in advance are non-refundable for unused sessions.
- Unused sessions must be used within the timeframe specified at purchase, typically 12 months.
5. Satisfaction Guarantee
5.1. Quality Assurance
We take pride in our work and strive to ensure your complete satisfaction. If you are genuinely unhappy with the quality of your photographs due to technical issues (focus, exposure, etc.), please contact us within 14 days of delivery to discuss your concerns.
5.2. Artistic Interpretation
Photography is a creative art, and each photographer has a unique style and approach. Before booking, we encourage clients to review our portfolio thoroughly to ensure our style aligns with your vision. Refunds will not be provided based on:
- Dissatisfaction with the artistic style, when the delivered images are consistent with our portfolio
- Subjective preferences regarding poses, locations, or creative decisions
- Weather conditions affecting the mood or setting of outdoor photographs
5.3. Limitation of Compensation
In the event of a valid quality concern, compensation may include:
- Re-editing of images
- A complementary mini-session
- Partial refund, at our discretion
- In extreme cases where we have failed to deliver services as contracted, a full refund may be considered
6. Refund Processing
6.1. Refund Method
Approved refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original purchase whenever possible. If the original payment method is unavailable, an alternative method may be used.
6.2. Processing Time
Refunds typically process within 7-14 business days, depending on your payment provider's policies. Bank transfers and credit card refunds may take additional time to appear in your account.
7. Special Circumstances
We understand that life can be unpredictable. In cases of serious illness, bereavement, or other exceptional circumstances, we may consider special exceptions to our standard refund policy. Such exceptions are made at our sole discretion and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
8. Amendments to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after any changes indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
